Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can we launch the hosted captive portal?

Most customers go live the same day—send us the UniFi details, pick login methods (email/SMS/Entra ID/social), upload branding, and we’ll switch it on.

What does “fully managed” include?

We host, monitor, patch, back up, and handle SSL certificates and updates to keep your UniFi integration stable—no servers or maintenance on your side.

Which UniFi versions are supported?

Works with current versions of UniFi OS consoles (UDM/UDR/UXG), UniFi OS Server, and the classic Network Application across multiple sites.

Which login methods are available?

Registration form, Email and SMS one-time codes, Facebook, Instagram, Microsoft Entra ID SSO, Sponsored Access, Passwords, Vouchers and more—mix and match per site.

Is it brandable?

Yes—upload your own logo, apply your own colors, custom CSS, and background image to build your own styling for the captive portal pages.

Where is data hosted?

Our CPaaS runs on DigitalOcean and you can choose from three regions: Central Europe (Amsterdam), North America (San Francisco), and South-East Asia (Singapore). Your tenant’s data stays in the selected region, with encrypted backups at rest and TLS in transit. Exports/deletions and data retention settings are available via the admin tools.

What uptime do you provide?

We operate a monitored platform with a uptime target of 99.9%.

How is the CPaaS priced?

Pricing is per site on a monthly or annual plan with tiers based on the number of access points. Contact us for full details.

Does it integrate with Mailchimp and other tools?

Yes—direct Mailchimp integration for lists and webhooks are supported so that captured data can flow to platforms like Zapier/Make or your own endpoints.

What analytics and reports are included?

A dashboard with real-time and historical metrics (logins, unique visitors, return rates, devices, locations) plus scheduled email reports weekly or monthly.

Will MFA on UI.com break the integration?

No—CPaaS is configured to use a local admin account on your UniFi controller, so MFA on cloud accounts doesn’t interrupt API logins.

Do you support multi-language portals?

Yes—per site you can set a default language and add translations for all guest-visible text. We also fully support right-to-left (RTL) languages:: the splash page automatically mirrors the layout (navigation, form fields, and alignment), uses RTL-friendly fonts, and keeps numbers, dates, and punctuation readable. Email/SMS messages can be translated too, so the entire login flow feels native.

Do you support education and public sector needs?

Yes—widely used in schools and universities; Entra ID SSO, per-site policies, and scheduled reports help meet common operational and policy requirements.
